Gatte ka pulav with Mint Raita |
Ingredients
For Gatta :
Besan (gram Flour) : 2 cupsVegetable oil :- 1 tbls
Curd :- 1 tbls
Red Chily Powder :- 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala : 1/4 tsp
Baking Powder :- 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
For Pulav:
Soaked Rice : 2 cupsTomato : 2
Big Cardamom :- 1
Small Elaichi :- 2
Cinnamon sticks : 1 (1")
Cloves : 2-3
Black pepper corns : 7-8
Bay Leaf : 1
Coriander Powder : 2 tsp
Red Chilly Powder : 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala : 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder : 1tsp
Desi ghee : 3 tbls
Salt to taste
For Mint Raita :
Pudhina finely chopped : 1 big bunchCurd : 2 cups
Black Salt to taste
Roasted Cumin seeds powder : 1tsp
Sugar : 1tsp
Method
- For Gatta, Make a tight dough with all the ingredients mentioned above and put them in boiling water. Gattas are cooked once they will come up .
- For Pulav, take a pan , add all the whole spices , add gatta and fry them up till they are slightly brown.Add Tomato puree and all the powdered spices. Once this leaves the oil and soaked rice, water and cook until rice is cooked .
- For Mint Raita, finely chop Mint then add whisked curd , black salt , sugar, roasted cumin powder.
